Podcasting is a great tool to be used in education. Being that we are always on the go, using podcasts allows us to learn on our own time. Suppose a student is absent and has missed a lecture or lesson the teacher gave. The teacher, with the use of certain media, can have the lesson available through podcasting, and the student will be able to receive the lesson missed. Furthermore, those students with many extracurricular activities benefit from podcasting because it allows them to learn at their own time. When considering differentiating lessons addressing varied learning styles podcasting again can be a resource to those students who learn better using varied forms of technology. Additionally, teachers can incorporate the use of podcasts in their curriculum when assigning tasks that involve researching specific topics. All of these uses are also mobile. In other words a students can access whatever information wherever he/she is. Education has changed in a positive and innovative manner since the implementation of podcasts in technology.
